Fics like something better than the stars

“I used to wish that I could reach out and touch them,” Eddie confesses, moving his hand as though he’s swiping it through space. “I used to think that the stars would tickle, or feel tingly, like when your hand falls asleep. Like the static on the TV screen.” “It would hurt,” Steve blurts. He looks at Eddie, bright, shining Eddie, and he says, “It would burn if you touched them.” And Eddie just smiles and says, “I think it would be worth it.” or: Steve is very touch-starved and afraid to touch Eddie
