Fics like Life is Beautiful

Kiryu is made to take a vacation for the first time in his life. It doesn't stay a vacation for long. This fanwork is a crossover directly inspired by the story of Deadly Premonition! I'm not sure how long it will be, but I'd like to simulate the feeling of both games. This will be primarily from Kiryu's perspective. The story beats I'm pulling and enhancing/referencing from both respective fandoms will be explained at some point in-text, but this story assumes familiarity with Ryuu ga Gotoku before Deadly Premonition, so the Deadly Premonition references are a bit heavy-handed. Kiryu will be referred to as 'Suzuki' by most people for a majority of the work; this is a reference to the fifth game in the series, where he took on Suzuki Taichi as a fake name. The first chapter was beta'd by the lovely Heza!
