Fics like Kismet

A rising dawn looks the same as a creeping sunset from a certain angle, but it has been ages and ages since he’s been in any position to know. These days, his nights are only marked from one another by the differing tastes of blood on his tongue, and sometimes it’s so pedantic that he’s bored out of his fucking skull. He likes to take his time with his victims, likes to keep them satiated and blissed out on his bite, euphoric and as clueless as Bambi’s mother before a shotgun barrel. It's a little well-known fact that a vampire’s bite makes people feel pure ecstasy. Makes the victims go down smooth, makes their last breaths a land of paradise, their blood tasting less of bitter adrenaline and rancid fear. An unfair mutual exchange, perhaps, a life-shattering orgasm for a life-ending bite. He’s never considered himself to be a fair man. Or — another Vampire AU, to join all the rest.
