Fics like I Have No Lover Upon This Earth

So this is a work which mainly draws inspiration from the 2008 Takarazuka production Rose of Versailles Side Story: Girodel, in which a good chunk fo the stage time is used to explore Oscar's and Girodelle's relationship following General de Jarjayes proposed marriage between them. It's a good watch and I highly recommend you watch it if you have the chance. As much as I adore Nanny and the ladies' "Oscar's fanclub", and the very catchy song sung by the soldiers in the French Guard at the engagement party, Oscar will be going alone in this fic. This fic also diverges slightly from the canon, as it takes place before Oscar leaves for the French Guard.
