Fics like Real Magic

This was straight up magic. Real magic. It was science, obviously, because obviously, but it was also magic. Things didn’t stop being magical even when you knew how it was done. Edison, magnets, electricity, dynamos. Yeah, yeah sure, whatever, that was all important to the ‘trick.’ But it didn’t really stop it from feeling like magic. It was just one bright little light on top of the roof, but what he saw was those midnight neon Tokyo lights in the back of his mind and thought of home. Or: an exploration of Gen's thoughts and feelings upon waking up 4,000 years later, with the world irrevocably altered, now under the rule of a man who can punch a lion to death, and then finally discovering Senku, the (very much not) dead man who promises he can bring the old world back.
