Fics like To Keep a Promise

Eli Shane, his slug Burpy as his only companion, did not live happily on the Surface after his dad went MIA. He thought that maybe, to deal with pain, he had to make it himself. He could control it, make it work for him. It took years, to realize how insanely terrible that idea was. And friends, to protect him when he encouraged the pain to swallow him whole. TW: This is a story about Self-Harm and the struggle to stop. I am not a health expert of any kind, and if you need help, please call your local health services (like, in the USA, mental health hotline 988). Be safe: there are plenty more stories to read that may make you feel better than this one would. This is an artistic outlet influenced by my own mental health battles; not a clinical guidebook. Take care of yourselves.
