Fics like Shadows of Evolution

Some may view Mae's actions as the ultimate betrayal, a testament to the darker side of humanity. She was, after all, human—selfish, greedy, and deceptive. To you, fellow human readers, she might seem like a desperate guardian, doing everything in her power to protect her race. As for the apes, though none of them are likely reading this, the ones in the movie saw Mae as a liar and a contemptible human. In this story, set just after the movie's end, Mae continues to gaze at the sky, while Noa remains fixed on the telescope. Their journey is far from over.
