"There is a certain point a soldier withers. It’s not after fighting, it’s not after losing your loved ones or being injured. Hermione had found that it was always to do with time. All time was unredeemable. Yes, she was back in the past and trying to rescue a damned future, but she herself was anchored. Forever changing, moving through each day, a different person dying here and there, and she just had to witness it. Time was perpetual and she was a thorn everlasting. Everything that has happened, had happened. In her mind, everything was eternally present. No matter what she could change here. No matter who she saved. She would continue to wither, to rot, but never disappear. She could be the world’s saviour and no one would know the atrocities in her head. " It has been a year since the battle of Hogwarts, everyone Hermione loves is dead and Voldemort is still triumphant. After a searing loss, Hermione uses a time turner to send herself back in time to defeat Tom Riddle and save her friends from their fate.
