Fics like Balance of Wisdom

Nahida is dead. Her last act as archon was entrusting Kaveh, for he understood what it truly means for Sumeru to become a nation of wisdom. He knew what it meant to her. He opens his eyes. He is awake. Hands hold nothing, palms on soft grass and flowers. One second she was in his arms , small hands clutching his linen shirt , tears staining it. The next she was gone. He knows she's dead. That thought wraps itself around his new heart. It scares him. Fills him with sorrow he can scarcely express. She died afraid and he never found out why Kaveh is no longer human upon exiting the Sanctuary of Surasthana. The gnosis thrumming in his chest , the power at his fingertips. The sunlight upon his skin gentle, it filters through the leaves as birds return to their branches. All at once he's aware, he can see everything. Though his name meant ' king ' he did not know this was to be his fate; He doesn't want to be a god. - au where Kaveh becomes Sumeru's god and struggles with the adjustment. (Inspired by that period of time where people were using Kaveh to disappear things)
