"Gale meets his sleepy gaze, staring intently at him as they sit there, surrounded by silence and the occasional drip of water. Time stretches into eons, each heartbeat a lifetime, eternity found in each other’s eyes. The hush of the room feels reverent, holy; it’s the type of silence normally found in temples, experienced by the monastic orders after years of devotion and contemplation, during those brief moments when the touch of the divine graces the mortal world. This breath of infinity belonged only to the two of them, the world ceasing to exist as they’re surrounded by warmth and comfort and companionship. " ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I sincerely don't think Cazador would give the spawn fresh water since they don't need it to survive, and he thrives off misery. So after the defeat of the Netherbrain, Astarion moves to Waterdeep with Gale, and being the gracious host he is, Gale offers the use of his huge-ass bathing chamber. Trauma and emotions spill out as he realizes he's safe and free.
