Fics like good luck, babe!

“So, how was it at UNIT today?” Osgood asks after a moment, her voice filled with genuine curiosity. Her fingers move deftly, unclasping the necklace in mere seconds, a task that had frustrated Kate just moments before. She places the chain carefully on the counter next to the earrings, but her hands don’t stop there. Instead, they return to Kate’s shoulders, the touch warm and comforting as she begins to massage the tension from Kate’s tired muscles. The question causes a brief flicker of tension to cross the older woman’s face, a subtle tightening around her eyes, but she quickly relaxes, her head tilting back as she lets out a soft, almost silent laugh. The sound starts as a quiet chuckle, but soon it grows, bubbling up until it echoes off the kitchen walls, a joyful release from the seriousness and strangeness of the day’s events. “I… I don’t really understand what the hell happened,” she finally manages to say between bouts of laughter, “but Ibrahim made a move on me, and I was so shocked I kind of… reciprocated?”
