Fics like Baldur's Brew (Modern AU)

An all-human no-magic modern AU where you're a washed up cook attempting to keep on the straight and narrow and Astarion is the mysterious new guy in town. The slick lawyer is just as kinky as you are, and the sex is great, but the more time you spend with him, the more red flags start to appear. It's only when Astarion reveals he's been in an abusive relationship for over a decade that it all starts to make a depressing kind of sense. You're an experienced dom who just wants to take care of him but navigating Astarion's insecurities might just be the hardest challenge you've ever had to face.
