Fics like Her Body is My Temple

Written for the I'm Siriusly Reading Hozier Fic Fest! Fest Prompt - “To keep the Goddess on my side, she demands a sacrifice” Modern AU with time travel sprinkled in for "flavour." Marlene & Pandora alternating POVs, minor POVs - Lily & Dorcas To escape the dreary weather and demanding schedules of London, best friends Marlene McKinnon and Lily Evans take a holiday to the Greek island of Lesbos. Marlene intends to immerse herself in the local culture by diving between beautiful women's legs and in the stunning Aegean Sea, but Lily insists that they delve into the historical side of the island too. She intends to drag Marlene to museums, castles, and ancient temple sites while she revels in the beauty of the great poet, Sappho's home. A Vespa livens up the trip, but the highlight is the ruins of Aphrodite's Temple in Mesa. One step onto the site transports the pair to ancient Lesbos and introduces them to a mysterious priestess, Pandora, and a Goddess in disguise, Aphrodite (Dorcas). Expect violence, jealousy, and human sacrifice. You have been warned!! Translations on AO3 are okay, as long as I am linked as author. Do not repost to any other sites.
