Fics like Severus Snape just wants to be left alone.

Fate watched as her sibling fixated on one of the humans she herself had damned. Watched as the mortal eluded them time and time again. Watched as the child with the world stacked against him greeted her sibling with open arms. Watched as a nosy old bastard delayed their meeting once again and watched as their sibling fell in love with the mortal who destroyed their anchors. And now she watches as they offer other paths to their chosen master. Then fate rewinds and watches again, but this time she’s watching her own mortal, the one she had always favored. People say that fate is a cruel mistress and they're not wrong. She has to be, for she knows the consequences of her actions, but just this once maybe she could have a favorite. And as she watches obsidian eyes lose their light all while writhing in agony she thinks. I can help my favorite mortal too. She looks into those obsidian eyes and whispers. “You are loved by me and that will never change. You are mine, my chosen, Fates Favored.” and with those words a new title is spoken into the world alongside Death's Master. *** this is a Severus Snape time travels back to his school days fic. enjoy, or don't, you choose.
