Fics like West Wing United

“Do we have -” President Bartlet starts, and then laughs. “I’m sorry, I just realized that we were discussing the theoretical limits of human teleportation.” “Sir?” “I didn’t realize that my Presidency was going to end up in an episode of Star Trek, but whatever,” he says. “Do we have any experience with mutant teleporters? Do we have any idea of their limitations, or some way to track them?” Casper glances around the table. “We’re working on bringing in a specialist, but right now it’s fair to say we’re in the dark.” “Well, when you get out of the dark, you let me know.” The president stands, and everyone rises. “I need to go talk to my staff, they’re going to try and figure out how to make this so that we don’t end up with a bunch of blue kids chased with pitchforks through the streets tomorrow morning.” --- Scenes from X2, but President Bartlet is in office. A crossover I started in 2013 and have, in the decade plus since, admitted I probably won’t finish, but I regularly revisit and enjoy, and thought you might enjoy too.
