Fics like How We Met

Harry had been alive for a long time, and from that his memory was quite blurred. Yet even if he couldn’t remember such minor details like what he had for breakfast he still remembered the life he had lived as Harry Potter, Boy-who-lived, Defeator of You-know-who, etc. He remembered in his last moments the despair he felt deep in his core. Betrayal a hard thing, in his new life, as Hadrian Peverell, he experienced it quite often. But that betrayal had never been felt with Aro, Marcus, and Caius and so he trusted them, with his whole being, they never left him out when he told them that he couldn’t become a vampire, that he was already immortal, or his desires deep in his heart for blood nonetheless. They hadn’t shoved him away even when he pushed them aside, or when he left for months on end. And so when they asked him to join them he thought nothing of it, yet he never knew how stupid some vampires could be, especially one in a coven that his past colleague and friend leads, who threatened the secrecy they had over a human girl.
