In honor of the 45th anniversary of the Mobile Suit Gundam franchise that began all the way back in 1979. "It is the year 0079 of the Universal Century. A half-century has passed since Earth began moving its burgeoning population into gigantic orbiting space colonies. A new home for mankind, where people are born and raised..." "...and die." "Nine months ago, the cluster of colonies furthest from Earth called Side 3 proclaimed itself the Principality of Zeon and launched a war of independence against the Earth Federation. Initial fighting lasted over one month and saw both sides lose half of their respective populations. People were horrified by the indescribable atrocities that have been committed in the name of independence." "Eight months has passed since the rebellion began. They were at a stalemate..." A detailed timeline looking at the history of various major events and conflicts between the Earth Federation and the many Spacenoid Independence Movements that are spread across the annals of the Universal Century, what was meant to be a golden age for humanity now bastardized by warmongers and fanatics who played people's ideals for the future to further their own greed...
