Fics like Forbidden Bids

We are but dust in the hands of Time, however strung together by rubies the scarlet of blood. Through his drunken haze of victory at his mortal nemesis finally succumbing, and the ungodly pride of whisking his limp body away to his castle as a spoil of war; Indrajit had long forsaken the shroud of honour so ingrained in his very veins. However, choosing to let him live- so that, as he believes, he can be a masterstroke at an unlikely dire hour- would prove a mistake to the warrior who made even the gods susceptible. In accomodating the princely ascetic, and navigating a complex melee where love and hate blur into one, both the impervious warriors would have to let go of their fair share of pride and prejudice.
