Fics like I couldn’t bear to hurt you like that

An alternate version of episode 7 where Jack just tells Belle straight away about her mother’s threats and lack of support and they don’t spend the back half of the episode in a fight (Adjustments all the way to the end of episode 7). Plus, he finally gets to witness one of her attacks in a private setting (even though he was clocking them the whole time). Or, What would happen if Jack handled that appendectomy and subsequent conversation with healthy communication instead of pushing Belle away and lying to her like a dingus. (You’ll notice right away how much I hate this ‘I’m going to cruelly dump you to keep you safe’ trope).
