Fics like The Remaining Jester Card

•#12••••• (Breathe in. Breathe out.) He tries to appear untense, clearing his throat. "A game?" "Yea, just a simple card game," The host grins, "We don't actually have to bet anything, but I'm completely down for it if you are!" Branzy reaches into his pocket, and gets out a deck of standard cards. He holds it in hand, shuffling the deck a few times. Then, he fans the cards out and shows it to Clown. "Do you know how to play old maid?" (Breathe in. Breathe out.) --- Clown can’t describe what he sees, but then a scream of agony sounds out from the speakers, loud, real, and so, utterly, violent. And there’s so much blood. --- It's been three months since the mission at the Casino started. Nearly four months, now. So, naturally, it's about time things started rolling. Not in a good direction, but both sides know - all tricks get called to the table eventually. (Direct Sequel to "Oh, Dear, Did I Get Your Cards in a Shuffle?")
