Fics like Somewhat Selfless Sacrifice

Chizuru had been with the Shinsengumi for a while, but recently she had noticed all the extra hardships she had been causing them. Their sense of duty would never allow them to abandon Chizuru, but she convinced herself it would be better for them if she weren’t there. Kazama and the demons would leave the Shinsengumi well enough alone if she just went with him, right? After seeing the aftermath of his most recent attack she decides to go with Kazama in hopes to spare her precious Shinsengumi. Little did she know how determined they would be to get her back. This kind of loosely takes place between season 1 episode 8 and 9, but doesn’t really follow the canon storyline.
