Fics like Flint

Cyrus had always known his soulmate would be cocky. Probably good looking and aware of it. Self-assured, flirty, maybe a bit brash. It was a pretty easy assumption to make looking at the neat script printed on two lines across the top of his thigh. How many times are you gonna stare at me from across the room before you finally say hi? He had imagined countless scenarios. How he would reply with an equally recognizable line, something witty and charming. Something his soulmate would have grown to love as he too looked at it, wrapped around his body in Cyrus’ own blocky writing. Of course, that wasn’t what happened. No, instead of something meaningful and interesting, or hell, even vaguely unique. All that build up, all that time preparing for this as the opportunity of a lifetime, and Cyrus had only managed to parrot back a simple “Hi”.
