Fics like My Friends Will Keep Me Honest

“One year. A lot could change in one year . . . It shocked him sometimes to remember that it had only been a year since the Killing Game . . . But ever since, he’s been living in a world where he could imagine a robot like Kiibo would fit right in, instead of sticking out as much as he had then.” It's been about a year since the thirteen of them woke from the living hell that was the Killing Game. Ever since, they've been living together in a strange new world where their old memories (regardless if they are real or fake) are next to meaningless. Kokichi still feels the effects of the game a year later; although, that's likely only because of himself for not being able to get past his guilt. Still, he hopes to be able to, one day, feel like he has earned his place among the others and maybe even feel like he can belong.
