Fics like De-stress

Demons that submit to someone’s command threw away their free will. Their lives belonged to the stronger one. It was a common and accepted order of things amongst demonfolk. Demi-Fiend, however, would rather crunch on his horn than blindly follow someone, even after reincarnating into a true demon. Even when he was sitting on his knees, defeated, under Nahobino’s blade, when silky blue hair pooled down on the floor as the rightful winner sat against him face to face, holding a single Life Stone on an open palm, he would’ve chosen death over servitude. “I don’t need your servitude. I want your strength. Would you stay by my side, please?” - only then did he accept salvation. He didn’t know why he still yearned for independence despite being a full demon, but Nahobino was pissing him off saying stuff like “Sounds like you’re still human deep inside” and “You know that’s not how demons act.” And right now, that manipulative bastard did the same thing - implied that Demi-Fiend refused to follow the orders because he was still Naoki Kashima. And he. Was. Not.
