Fics like beginning of the end

[Book 2] It's been two years since Peter faked his death and helped to take down HYDRA. Things had been great since then– he asked MJ out, started attending Columbia, and got to continue being Spider-Man. So, when Nick Fury showed up in his apartment once more, Peter knew his good luck streak was coming to a close. Sure enough, Fury informed him that there was an alien named Thanos intent on collecting ridiculously powerful “infinity stones” in order to use them to wipe out half of the universe. Which, really? Peter just wanted to be able to make it to his college graduation. Thanos had other plans. — Or: an exploration of how Infinity War and Endgame could have gone down in the alternate universe established in ‘end of beginning.’ Reading the first story isn’t technically a requirement to understand the actual plot of this one, but it does establish how Peter got to this more independent/skilled mindset and also makes a LOT of references to the first one, so I’d recommend reading it to understand the characterizations and callbacks.
