Fics like Strange and Bright and Blinding

No metas in Gotham. That’s Batman’s rule, and he’s had it for as long as Duke can remember. No metas in Gotham. Even Superman and Wonder Woman aren’t allowed unless it’s an emergency, and they’re some of the most powerful people on the planet. They’re also kind of Batman’s best (and only) friends, but that’s beside the point. So when Duke’s hands start glowing, and he realizes he’s developing light powers, he’s understandably a little freaked out. If he were any normal thirteen year old, it probably wouldn’t be an issue. But seeing as he’s living in the same house as Batman, it’s not going to be easy to hide. Luckily for Duke, it all works out in the end.
