Fics like I think I thought I saw you try

“Don’t come back, Jon. I need you to stay away. Please.” Jon felt like he was simultaneously slapped and getting a bucket of icy water poured over him, looking at Martin’s back with wide, incredulous eyes. He’d thought he was about to have Martin tell him that he hated him. He thought that would’ve been the worst thing he’d have to endure. How stupid. The idea of Martin hating him didn’t even hold a candle to having the full knowledge and understanding of how much Martin wanted him, and yet was stubbornly telling Jon to stay away. Jon felt the tears prickle in his eyes and nose, and resented them. He’d approached Martin with the full intention of accepting things were irreparably broken between them, ready to acquiesce to whatever request Martin might make of him in order to at least make things easier for himself— Well. He ought to still do that, didn’t he? -------------- Upon his awakening after his coma, Jon goes looking for Martin and.... Things happen. Maybe that'll be enough to change what felt like a set fate...
