Fics like Worth Waiting For

In a world where Sentinels and Guides are an accepted part of society, everyone knows that Sentinels bond with Guides. Of course they do. Everyone knows that, who knows anything about Sentinels. But Eddie Diaz is a Sentinel who doesn’t want a Guide, and when he falls in love with a mundane named Evan ‘Buck’ Buckley, he will have to fight harder than he ever has in his life before. Not only a society that refuses to accept them, not only friends and family who frown on the relationship, but Buck himself, who struggles to believe that he could ever be enough for Eddie. Eddie won’t give up on the love of his life though, and no matter how long it takes he’s determined to convince Buck that he’s worthy of love, and that the life they can have together is worth waiting for.
