Fics like Credence

Steve Rogers has been on the run for about a year. He has started to get very disgruntled about how he has been treated, the darkness in him starting to rise to the surface. He had never thought about doing anything bad up until now - he had always been, he always had to be “Captain America”, an overly noble guy that didn’t like when people swore and was always doing the “right” thing, an example to all, the perfect patriot. He didn’t want to be that person anymore – living a nomadic life has made him a little bit feral - to put it lightly, and it was starting to become an inch that he needed to scratch. It isn’t until he sees a girl, a simple girl living in Oakley, Utah where he is hiding out. She seemed gentle and kind – working as a vet, and living alone. For reason’s he couldn’t figure out he was going to introduce himself to her, but not as Captain America, but someone else, and let off some - animalistic tendency he has been keeping at bay.
