Fics like Red Star

The twenty-first century is going just fine for Steve Rogers between his work as Captain America and his personal life, when the Avengers become the custodians of another mysterious supersoldier and Steve becomes his primary handler. Every day is the same for the asset until it is handed over to the least competent handler it's ever had, and a team who are either too stupid or too ill-equipped to appropriately maintain a weapon of its caliber. Both Steve and the asset find the partnership troublesome, and yet they both grow to value it and each other. When the Winter Soldier is recalled under strange circumstances, neither wishes to part. Will Steve even know what he has let go?
