Fics like cards on the table, mine play out like fools in a fable

“Ratio, you wretch.” Aventurine’s hiss was cut off with a wince of pain as Sunday pressed forward, gripping blond locks in one smooth motion. “I’d watch your tongue, gambler.” Sunday’s voice had been venomous and alarming before, sure, but now it was downright dangerous. “Have you forgotten what I said about cutting it out?” “He may be a Sigonian,” Ratio’s voice came from the side. “But he’s still a Stoneheart. I understand your feelings on this…matter, Mr. Sunday, but I’d advise caution.” Or, an alternate take on the 2.1 Sunday/Aventurine confrontation where Sunday kidnaps Aventurine and Ratio (eventually) comes to the rescue.
