Spirit finds himself swinging around to go put the bag back, sack of blood cradled in one arm, Stein's wrist caught in the iron grip of his other hand. He knows what comes next. Stein, eyes wandering around the room, will spool out some abstruse train of thought, more likely than not peppered with paranoia, and Spirit will have to piece together what's really going on and decide how he can deal with it. That's always been a constant with them - Stein acting and Spirit dealing with it. The first words out of Stein's mouth are "I'm sorry." Spirit lets go of him entirely in his shock, and Stein flinches harder at that than he did at the threat of having his wrist pulverized.
