Fics like i’ll do your laundry, covered in dirt

There’s a burst of fire, and the crash of metal. There’s so much chaos everywhere he looks, but a solitary voice makes it through the cacophony of noise. Eddie’s name on Buck’s lips - a scream torn from him like something stolen, like something he’s trying to claw back. The cameraman doesn’t know where to focus at first; there’s too much going on. But when it settles Eddie feels his heart splintering inside of his chest. Buck, on his hands and knees. Buck digging, desperate and frantic, through 30ft of solid, wet earth. Buck’s fractured voice wrapping around Eddie’s name as he begs, and pleads, and screams for him. Buck, more terrified - more hysterical - than Eddie has ever seen him before. (Or, Eddie learns that Buck dug through the mud for him.)
