"How much has he told you about the Undersea?" Chip doesn't respond immediately, but when he does he sounds almost apprehensive. "Not much. We know he was raised by some weird group of old people, and that he was pretty messed up. I don't know how much of it he understands though, and.. I don't think he likes talking about it. It always makes him cry, and you know how he feels about that," Edyn doesn't smile at that like he does, but she understands, better than Chip himself does most likely. Gillion had been an easy crier when they were younger, less so after he was taken but still he was quick to tears. He cried when he was frustrated, when he laughed too hard, when he got to see Edyn. He'd bawled when he got Pretzel. But she remembers how she'd realized that crying became something he'd reserved for her, for when they were alone. She can't imagine what he'd done with himself and all his loose tears without her when she'd stopped being able to see him. She can't very well imagine anyone else wiping them away or laughing with him. She doesn't have the words to explain that though, so instead she settles on a short: "I do."
