Fics like How the Frost Forgets

“If there’s no one to protect, then what were you built for?” Strained in the Never Realm, Zane encounters a young Formling named Vex. As he continues to struggle against the scroll’s influence, Zane is now tasked with caring for an abandoned child while simultaneously searching for a way home. However, there’s more to Vex than meets the eye and he’s willing to do whatever it takes to remain by Zane’s side, no matter the cost. A reimagining of the ice chapter where Zane is corrupted slower and encounters Vex sooner.
