Excitement is one of the things I’m just so terrible at hiding.” Ratio nods, standing up, and pats down his clothes. “It will be my first time,” he says candidly, as if it wasn’t a metaphorical bomb he’d dropped on Aventurine when they first discovered it. Aventurine’s more in the habit of receiving than giving, but there’s a part of him ever so hungry to see Veritas come undone by his hand, cheeks as red as his eyeliner. For his dear doctor, he’ll make an exception. And for him, the doctor made the very same exception. Or: Aventurine beats Ratio in chess, and Ratio fulfills his end of the deal. They have a great time.
