Fics like Hello, Friend (The Best Two Words to Begin)

Phil Coulson is an ordinary man with an ordinary job. He is a single parent with two daughters, Daisy, 17, and Maggie, 5. Every Saturday, Phil takes Maggie to story time at the local branch of the New York Public Library. When Clint Barton starts volunteering as an ASL interpreter for the program (and brings his son along with him), Maggie becomes fascinated with the language and Phil becomes fascinated with the man. For fangirlasplosian (fangirlSevera), whose number one prompt was, “Single dads AU meeting while taking their kids to the library.” Thank you. Not only did I finally have a reason to attempt kidfic, but your prompt lit up my brain with this story, and any sequels that may follow. I hope this meets your expectations! Happy Holidays!
