Fics like Practice Date (Nothing More)

It made sense. The fancy restaurant. The invitation in the middle of the afternoon. Ryo opening up to him about his interests. The love poems. Even the damn smoke break. Sure, him groping that waitress was weird, but maybe it was for show? Makimura never went on a date before in his life. His work as a cop and his current work as the other half of City Hunter didn’t really award anytime to tend to a relationship. He didn’t have any time for one when he was younger either, seeing as how he had to raise a younger sister and keep up household duties at the same time. And for what it’s worth, Ryo didn’t seem like the type to fall into a serious relationship with anyone. The guy was all about one-night stands and hours-long mokkori sessions at love hotels. If anything, monogamy was a foreign concept to him. Then again, what if he felt different about other men? He did act differently around him, sure, but that’s probably because they were just friends, right? Right? Ryo takes Makimura out to lunch. Something happens. Years later, he takes Kaori out to the same restaurant. Lets not talk about that, shall we?
