Fics like A Beginner's Guide to Caring for Eldritch Entities

"At the end of the day, he was fishing to avoid Mumbo. He still wanted to help. Of course he did! But in the days following their last conversation, every time he thought about getting up from the dock and walking over to check on Mumbo, he was seized with so much blind, unfocused panic, that he usually lost time to it. More than once he’d come to with his fishing rod broken in his hands and the sun in a completely different position than he last remembered seeing it. Frankly, Grian couldn’t figure out what was happening to himself, much less to Mumbo." AKA grian being a watcher is apparently the worst kept secret on the server. the best kept secret turns out to be whatever mumbo is.
