Fics like On Mercy

The Council makes a deal with the fabled God Dream for his assistance in defeating his tyrant God twin, Nightmare. However, Dream will not help them for free; he locks eyes with Cross, and decides he wants him in exchange for the war victory. It's an easy decision, is it not? There's just one problem with this arrangement: Cross is a spy, sent by Nightmare himself. And Nightmare is absolutely unforgiving of traitors. But he cannot offend Dream, for he too is an Immortal. He cannot forget how dangerous they both are, how any wrong move will end in his demise or worse. (Cross forgets, however, that he himself is mortal.) Who have also been influenced by God!Ink and God!Error; it's a cycle, really.] Originally posted here, cross-posted on Quotev, Wattpad.
