2012; Oxford Brookes University. Jobs sucked. That’s what Thom Yorke believed all his life. That was until he became a professor at Oxford Brookes, indulging in his job and getting to teach these young adults about the tiny details of psychology and how it’s fucking everywhere. Besides that, there was nothing particularly exciting in his life. But once Thom took the time to really look at his students in all rows of the tiered seats, his gaze fixes upon a certain girl. How did he not notice her before? A sharp owlish stare, though not sharp enough to unsettle him. Thom also took note of how she always seemed to be so fixated, holding on tightly to every word he uttered, how she’d nibble on the eraser on the end of her pencil. He can’t be certain that this is what he thinks it is. He’s a professor, goddamn it. Yet, as the spring semester carried on, as conversations were struck, a myriad of incidents would unfold, and he finds himself in an asphyxiating web of complications he wished he never wove.
