Fics like Hour To Dawn

Light has never felt his heart sing until now. He takes the tiniest step, and they are almost chest to chest. L senses him taking his time and waiting. "Yes?" "Come here," Light purrs. Kira's fire and confidence are in his eyes, and L finds himself unravelling under their weight - but they are tempered by satisfaction. Light can't find the word to describe what he feels, but he knows that when L nods and steps closer to him, Light's chest feels constricted in all the best ways. He presses his forehead to L's as L exhales shakily, almost against his lips. "You wanted the triumph," L says on the edge of a whisper, clearly not feeling like himself. "Do this one thing for me. Don't take it so slow." - Light sees L having feelings for once. Kira is nothing if not hungry for the beautiful, holistic defeat.
