“I came because I missed you.” Lucifer turns. There’s some life in his eyes in the form of shock as he stares up at Alastor. Alastor is too horrified and furious with himself to fully register it. “You missed me?” Lucifer repeats, his skepticism loud and clear. Alastor resists the urge to throw himself off the roof. Doing so won’t change what he’s said. And he can’t very well lie and deny the sincerity of his words. Lucifer would immediately teleport him away to who knows where. “…yes,” Alastor admits through clenched teeth. “I missed you.” Lucifer blinks at him wordlessly as the seconds tick by. Then he huffs and looks back out at the storm. “As if I’d believe that.”
