Evan Buckley’s life sucks. Ok, so maybe that’s not completely true. He has a sister who he thinks the world of, a beautiful niece who is just the most perfect kid that ever walked the planet, a group of friends who have become family and have saved his neck more times than he can count, and he has parents who love him no matter what idiotic, harebrained stunt he pulls, even though they’re not biologically related. He has a comfy apartment in a nice part of LA, an active social life, and a secure job which means he can pay all his bills and have enough left over to spend on things he doesn’t really need but does anyway to fill the gaping void that hadn’t been in his life a year ago. Because a year ago he had the job of his dreams. He was doing something good, helping people, serving a higher purpose and making a difference. He was saving lives. And then Freddie Costas blew him up. Or 5 times Buck crushes on the hot single dad who brings his kid to Buck’s junior book club at the library, and the 1 time he does something about it.
