In the summer of 2024, both Justin Trudeau and Pierre Poilievre are speaking at a climate change conference in Calgary. In a surprising move by both parties labeled as a display of unity for the sake of solutions to the climate crisis and the Canadian environment, the Liberal and Conservative teams have agreed to stay at a new eco-friendly and luxurious lodge for the week of the conference. Being confined to the nature resort keeps putting the two men in each other's paths and what begins as seemingly the usual friction between the them, ends with Justin acting on something they've been ignoring for long enough. "Pierre didn't want mainstream press for this. He had wanted something authentic. Just a personal heartfelt video, with a beautiful view of the Calgary mountainside while he outlined his "common-sense" approach to the challenges of climate change. That after 9 years of Justin Trudeau's carbon tax, the only thing the Prime Minister had been capable of focusing on was himself. The 'after 9 years of Trudeau' line was slowly becoming his refrain but more importantly, he knew it really pissed Trudeau off."
