Fics like so you could bring back the spring

When Patrick Crawley died, he killed the plans of all the Crawley ladies. When Matthew Crawley arrived, Mary Crawley realised she needed a new plan. Only she seems to have the worst of luck as every time she thinks she's set a new course, life throws her another challenge. Edith tries to make sense of it all. Sybil has life (almost) figured out. Or Mary Crawley is a bit more mature. Matthew Crawley is a bit more understanding. Robert Crawley might as well be speaking a different language from that of his daughters. The Crawley sisters get along fabulously, and it all makes all the difference. The rest of Downton can only try to catch-up.
