Fics like A body wishes to be held and held

The thing is, before meeting Daniel, Max didn’t really know what it meant to long for something. For someone. He didn’t know what it meant to long for a simple touch, a brush over his thigh, a knee or a shoulder bumping into his. A quick, sudden, unexpected hug, or a silly request – fancy a dance, Maxie? Daniel making him spin. How come you cannot waltz, you youngsters don’t know how to party properly these days. Daniel keeping a steady hand on the small of his back, or helping him into his jacket when he was struggling to find the sleeve. Before Daniel, Max had been…self-sufficient, so to say. He had never been touch-shy - who in their right minds could ever not want to be touched ever? - but he has never been taught how to ask for it either, so it was just a battle he couldn’t win. Over the years he spends with Daniel, Max realizes he has been starving for touch, love and affection all along.
