Fics like Advanced Politics of Human Emotion

Jeff Winger, burdened with love for his former study group, knew he would eventually be left behind by everyone. When Troy was bequeathed Pierce's fortune on the strange condition he leave Greendale to sail around the world, the avalanche began, all culminating in Abed and Annie moving on to bigger and better things on opposite ends of the country. Nearly 3 years later, Troy is finally due to return to Colorado, and the study group has planned to gather at Greendale for the first time since their split. This story details the aftermath of Abed and Annie's departure, and the ways Jeff, Britta, and the others deal with the grief of moving on from their so-called golden age, ultimately coming back together to face their new reality. As Andy Bernard once said, “I wish there was a way to know you're in the good old days before you've actually left them.”
