Fics like Mirage

The Targaryen women, except for Queen Alysanne, had always struggled to perform their duty, as if there was some defect in them. A punishment from the seven, her uncle used to mutter in the privacy of their chambers. Alicent had always ignored such voices, too lost in her friendship with the Princess and the idea that such matters were of no concern to her given her station. But now that she was the Queen, the same thoughts plagued her mind since Rhaenyra announced she was with child. And so Alicent prayed to seven to either lead Rhaenyra to the proper path so that she would come to her senses and step down from the position of heir herself, or she would succumb to the same disease as her mother, and die trying to give birth to an heir. It was for the best of everyone, removing any threats to her children and the kingdom. This was why she was surprised to hear the news of Rhaenyra giving birth to twins without experiencing the same problems as her mother. Or, Playing with original characters again hehehe.
