Fics like Like a Swell of Endless Music

(stole the title from a lyric from The Little Mermaid broadway production oops) He misses her voice. Lisa’s constant chattering had been so endearing. But he knows first hand…she’d say something if she could. So now it’s his turn to fill the silence. He’s not as naturally talkative as she is, and the 1980s were still so much different than the 1880s he knew, so he sticks with what he knows. He tells her stories about his first life. He reads poetry to her. He assures her, and reassures her, and reassures her again that he loves her, that he’ll always love her, that he’s so thankful they’ve been given this second life together.
